RetroPistol™

Okay, this is not an AI review, I ordered two of their light gun pistols and the 1TB gaming drive and here is what I have to tell everyone who would like honest feedback on this. I did attach some photos and tried to upload a video of me using it, I'm not sure if the video will work or on their site or not. FIRST OFF, NOT A SCAM. TO THOSE PEOPLE LABELING IT AS SUCH, YOU ARE IMPATIENT AND TECHNOLOGICALLY ILLITERATE. This product takes time to show up as it ships from China. I get that its seems sketchy, I spent around $460+ on my set in total so I was tense about it as well. I also had issues with their tracking system updating when I originally purchased this back in early June of this year (2026). It showed that a label had been created and that it "shipped" yet for two weeks the system didn't update past "Label Created" and "Dropped off at Shipment Center" or something like that. So I reached out to their customer service and commenced the questioning.

This company's customer service is actually F@#%$&* amazing. Even though they would only respond to me during the night time given the time difference between countries, they did answer all my questions (and I asked a ridiculous amount over the course of 2-3 weeks, I spent over $460, I want answers), assured me the shipment had actually taken place and they stayed in communication with me. A scammer doesn't do that after they've taken your money, or at least they wouldn't for 2-3 weeks straight of some dude demanding where his stuff is! XD

Long story short, it may take awhile to get to you, the tracking may not be updated properly and it may require an evening or two to figure out setup and how the games run, but after that, its literally a blast...pun intended.

The pistols are excellent, however, they are not "RetroPistols" they are "X-Gunner" light guns. which you can find on other sites than this. Both the pistols and the gaming drive took about a month to a month and a half to show up to Colorado in the United States. This is all fairly plug-n-play, but some computer savvy is needed for setup as you have to download a few programs and patches to make things work properly. THERE ARE INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED WITH THE GUNS! Once you get the gaming drive, there are folders within it that explain how to set that up as well, they do not leave you stranded trying to figure it out. My 5 year old Dell laptop seems to run most of the games fine, some of them run slowly in areas (Time Crisis 3-5 for PS2 or PS3 when graphics demand and heavy refresh are needed) so a newer laptop or desktop with some gaming capability and better refresh rate would help. Some games are missing graphics packages so aliens or villains are just black figures, some of the backgrounds can be black, or your aiming reticle is just a black square. This is a problem for about 4 games total, not a big deal since there actually are hundreds to look through. ALSO, YOUR LAPTOP WILL NEED AT LEAST 3-4 USB PORTS TO MAKE 1-2 GUNS, TV IR SENSORS AND THE 1TB HARD DRIVE TO WORK ALL AT THE SAME TIME! The gaming drive functions like Steam with different folders and gaming systems inside it with corresponding games to play. Its kinda neat and well done for what it is! Overall, its actually a ton of fun to play any Time Crisis game or light gun arcade game at home. So much late 90's and early 2000's nostalgia in this, its amazing. Despite this site feeling like a scam, its actually not! My wife and I have played this every night for the last week since its shown up and there's still a ton more games to try out. My only complaint was having to press a variety of buttons to figure out how to calibrate P1 and P2 into different games and what buttons control what function between different games. The guns come with a good instruction manual, so cross reference the gun keys to what the screen is asking you for and if thats not enough, just trial and error it. It will eventually work and you learn what buttons do what for each game.

In the end, I personally like it! This company made a solid product, its not fake, the guns work way better than I thought they would and if you have an adequate laptop or desktop, youll probably be able to play 100% of these games no problem. The company also releases patches periodically so if there is a problem with something it appears they are staying on top of it and making sure everything is working the way it should! They've already released one which fixed a couple games within this last week so this is an active project for them. Super neat, worth the money and sweating it out!

Honestly didn't think I'd use it that much but here I am playing Duck Hunt at midnight like it's 1990. The nostalgia hit is real. Super easy to set up and the build quality is great.

My kids are 8 and 11 and they absolutely love this. We play Time Crisis together every weekend now. It's become our thing. The guns feel solid and well made. Really happy with this purchase.

Setup was genuinely plug and play. Had it going in under 10 minutes. The recoil on this thing adds so much to the experience. Playing House of the Dead with recoil feels like a completely different game.

Ordered the Trio pack for a family game night and it was the best decision. Four of us playing at once — absolute chaos in the best possible way. Everyone is asking where I bought it from.

Works brilliantly on my 65 inch TV from about 6 feet back. Tracking is spot on. Playing Time Crisis standing in my living room is something I didn't know I needed in my life but here we are.
